Cory's Flowers

Cory spent the day with Wendy as we frantically attempted to get the boat back into live aboard condition. They did lots of things including flower collection and making this arrangement which they brought back for dinner.

Cory

Scavenging

I think I'll just climb up over here and see if Cory has left any ice cream in his bowl. Hmmm....slim pickings.

Going Home From School

Graeme takes his daughter home from school before heading back to work. On nice days, she shows up at the shop, grabs her life jacket and take herself. She is 9 years old.

Russell

Time to take a break and go for an afternoon trip. The car ferry to Russell across the bay was an easy voyage with a lovely impromptu stop at the beach. The oyster "farm" on the way home was a nice find. They didn't feel like making change for 1/2 dozen oysters so they just sent us on our way. Cory was all eager to try them until he saw what the insides look like. He decided to go back to collecting the shells on the beach instead:)

Hell Hole of the Pacific

Russell was known as the hell hole of the Pacific in the 1800s. Debauchery and crime was rampant. What a quaint little beachy town it is now!

Skateboard

Cow

A quiet break in the big chair. Mya tells us about the cows in the book. ASL and mooing happen a lot. She checks for the cows in the field every time we take Cory to school.

Rest Stop

Car Washing

Good bye rental car. Hello mini-van. What a great excuse to hand over the hose that is always in demand.

Preschool Sibling Day

Cory is in preschool for a few mornings and Mya never wants to leave once we drop him off. The teachers arranged sibling day complete with muffins and treats baked by the kids. Cory shows Mya some of his favorite things, helps her wash for tea time and then they head off and do their own thing.
