From Standing to Walking
Mya started holding onto things to stand up in May. By mid July she wasn't holding a thing and would dance on the spot. She will now do 12 steps on her own before opting to sit. Unlike Cory who cruised along the couch for awhile, let go one day and never looked back, Mya didn't do much cruising. She just takes one step at a time.
Last Day of Montessori
Maria Montessori believed all young children had absorbent minds. They are interested in taking in everything around them and are more "absorbent" for certain things during "sensitive periods". All the children in Cory's class were given awards recognizing one of their skills or characteristics. Cory's award was "The Most Absorbent". That's our little sponge.
